Journey Christian Church believes the children are the future of the church. Therefore, raising them to be Godly men and women is very important. We do this by providing a fun, safe and loving atmosphere, where children can:
Come to Know and Love God
Discover and Explore His word
Learn to Apply it in their daily lives
Tell Others about what they learn
Build Relationships with others
And Discover their own God given uniqueness
Children can do this through a variety of different ways.
Sunday School9:30 - 10:20 a.m.Sunday Mornings
Toddler Class or Ages 1-2
Through books, songs, and hands-on activities the toddlers learn that: 1) the Bible is God's word; 2) God made the world and everything in it; 3) Bible class is a place to sit, listen, and have fun. Some of the units include Creation, Baby Jesus, Noah, God Made Me, the First Family, etc.
Ages: Preschool-6th Grade
Here kids learn the key to knowing and becoming like God - God's character. We use the Godprints curriculum in hopes to imprint the character of God on their heart. During 2008 kid's will experience Christ in a whole new exciting way! Filled with hilarious games, fantastic music, crazy puppets, and powerful teaching. Through the year they will have walked through the following:
Kaboom! Discovering
Who God Is Captivate and capture the attention of your children with Kaboom! Discovering Who God Is. Throughout this 9 week unit, the attributes of God are taught in a way that is easy for children to understand and comprehend. Using fun and simple science experiments the children learn how God's character traits apply to their lives.
Dr. Jones and the Secret of the Lost Keys Experience the life of Moses in an exciting, Indiana Jones type adventure! This 9 week unit begins with Moses' mother placing him in the Nile river and ends with the building of the Tabernacle. Just like Moses, children learn that God has a plan and purpose for their lives.
Fish Tales In this four week unit children will learn the basics of evangelism. Earn a fishing license, learn some great fish stories and choose your bait.
Cruisin' In My Father's Car Cruise on down Route Romans 6.6 in our Father's car. This 8 week unit teaches children to develop a Biblical worldview. The foundations of the Christian faith are taught using zany characters and fun toys from the 1950's.
Kamp Kaboom God said it - KABOOM! ...it was. Sizzle, pop and explode your way through the days of creation using interactive, high-impact science experiments, wild and wacky games, and relevant biblical applications.
Make Your Words Count In this 7 week unit a fun game show theme is used to help children recognize the effect words have on others leading them to make wise choices about the words they use.

Music/Drama ProgramsSeasonalAll Ages
Music is an important part of worship at Journey Christian Church. Kids, especially, love to sing praises. Programs are offered for various seasons, such as Christmas and Easter. This is usually an interactive process where the children learn about the holiday and the biblical basis for celebration, as well as learn their lines and words to music. Practices are usually held on Sunday nights and the opportunities are announced when they arise.

Vacation Bible School is an evening evangelistic outreach program where kids can come and learn about God in a fun way! Set to a theme based on a bible verse, kids rotate through 6 sites to learn about the each night's lesson:

The kids look forward to this event every summer and it is definitely and positive and unique experience for both kids and adults!
