Journey Christian Church believes the children are the future of the church. Therefore, raising them to be Godly men and women is very important. We do this by providing a fun, safe and loving atmosphere, where children can:
Come to Know and Love God
Discover and Explore His word
Learn to Apply it in their daily lives
Tell Others about what they learn
Build Relationships with others
And Discover their own God given uniqueness
Children can do this through a variety of different ways.
Sunday School9:30 - 10:20 a.m.Sunday Mornings
Toddler Class or Ages 1-2
Through books, songs, and hands-on activities the toddlers learn that: 1) the Bible is God's word; 2) God made the world and everything in it; 3) Bible class is a place to sit, listen, and have fun. Some of the units include Creation, Baby Jesus, Noah, God Made Me, the First Family, etc.
Ages: Preschool-6th Grade
Here kids learn the key to knowing and becoming like God - God's character. We use the Godprints curriculum in hopes to imprint the character of God on their heart. During 2008 kid's will experience Christ in a whole new exciting way! Filled with hilarious games, fantastic music, crazy puppets, and powerful teaching. Through the year they will have walked through the following:
Deal or No Deal: Greed, materialism, tithing, and stewardship.
CSI (Christ Seen Investigations): This four week curriculum series will take kids on a wild adventure withthe CSI team, meeting people who have seen Jesus!
ALIEN KIDS: The Alien Kids curriculum for elementary children teaches kids about living as a Christian over a 6-week period. This series capitalizes on kids' curiosity by comparing the life of a Christian with the life of an alien.
Rock Solid: This six-week curriculum series for Elementary Children covers many of the foundational truths needed in order to build a ROCK SOLID foundation of faith in Jesus Christ! Your kids will love "Manny" the brick layer as he and his ROCK Star buddy, "Wiggy Pop", teach a different foundational truth each lesson.
BUGS: This Eight week curriculum series for elementary children uses small insects to teach BIG biblical lessons.
PUSH: Prayer is a powerful thing! Many times, children are intimidated by the idea of prayer. They think they don't pray "good enough". This series will teach children how to pray in life's most important circumstances.
Family Mechanics: Four Week series for Elementary Children dealing with "taking care of our families."
VICTORY: Ten week Children's Church series that deals with all the great military battles of the Bible!
Music/Drama ProgramsSeasonalAll Ages
Music is an important part of worship at Journey Christian Church. Kids, especially, love to sing praises. Programs are offered for various seasons, such as Christmas and Easter. This is usually an interactive process where the children learn about the holiday and the biblical basis for celebration, as well as learn their lines and words to music. Practices are usually held on Sunday nights and the opportunities are announced when they arise.
Vacation Bible SchoolUsually first week in JuneAges: Preschool-6th Grade
Vacation Bible School is an evening evangelistic outreach program where kids can come and learn about God in a fun way! Set to a theme based on a bible verse, kids rotate through 6 sites to learn about the each night's lesson:

Craft
The kids look forward to this event every summer and it is definitely and positive and unique experience for both kids and adults!
