Journey Christian Church
Mission Program

The Mission Program of Journey Christian Church now supports seven mission groups each month at $105.00 each. These groups are:

1. Colombia For Christ Mission (CFCM)
2. Good News Productions Intl.(GNPI)
3. Pioneer Bible Translators (PBT)
4. Literature and Teaching Ministries (LATM)
5. Deaf Missions (DM)
6. Nebraska Christian College (NCC)
7. Christian Student Fellowship (CSF)
8. Rapha House
9. For God's Children International

These seven Mission Groups are funded as follows:

1. Fifteen percent of general fund income will be set aside for mission support. From these funds, the seven missions will receive monthly support.
2. Some Mission-designated gifts are given through the church treasury. Such earmarked gifts will count against the 15% of general fund income set aside for mission support.
3. As additional funds accumulate, the Missions Committee will send one-time support to worthy Mission Groups.

Walter Birney is the director of the National Missionary Convention (NMC). Bro. Birney, in the February 1, 2004 issue of the Christian Standard, reviewed the 2003 NMC held in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bro. Birney wrote, "The future never looked brighter for the cause of world evangelism. But it will not just happen. It will require an unending continuation of blood, sweat, and tears, of time, money, and lives".

For the mission program of Journey Christian Church to flourish, each member should be increasingly involved through knowledge, prayer, vision, and monetary support. Jesus said, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also".
